New Delhi: 20 March:- The Delhi Chapter of the Bihar Foundation held its first
meeting on 18th of March at 4 pm at Hotel Ashoka, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The
meeting, which was chaired by the Resident Commissioner, Bihar Bhawan, Shri Vipin
Kumar, was attended by towering personalities from the field of Literature, Culture,
Film Making, Bureaucracy, Science and Technology, Media and Education.
The efforts of Bihar Government in engaging the Non Resident Bihari’s were
greatly appreciated. It was felt that the Bihar Foundation, Delhi would offer a unique
opportunity and platform for the Bihari populace in and around Delhi as well as those
from other places interested in Bihar to collectively discuss ways to get associated with
development of Bihar.
It was discussed that targeted and structured approach is required to promote
Bihar as a brand across the country and abroad. An Annual Activity Calendar with
activities such as Investors’ Meet, Discussion Forums, Seminars and Cultural &
Promotional events would be planned in advance to empahasize upon the opportunities
and possibilities in Bihar.
